FIROSHA was invited by the ‘Union Ministry of Minority Affairs’ to showcase hand painted wearable art and silk painting at Hunar Haat, an exhibition held at lawns of India Gate New Delhi.

In a bid to provide international recognition to country’s traditional legacy of arts and crafts during the 10-day skill festival, artisans, craftsmen and culinary experts including 50% of women from almost all the states and union territories participated in it.

‘Hunar Haat’ at India Gate Lawns was inaugurated by Union Minister for Railways, Commerce and Industry Shri Piyush Goyal; Union Minister for Urban Development (Independent Charge) Shri Hardeep Singh Puri and President ICCR Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe on 13th February 2020.

Firosha by Firoz Rafi was extremely delighted to unveil their Spring Summer hand painted collection of Indian suits, sarees, stoles, dupattas, silk paintings etc. at the exhibition. Firosha is a brand curated for graceful and elegant hand painted designs.

Thousands of visitors including national and international buyers appreciated that Firosha has used handloom fabrics, khadi, Chanderi, jute etc in their collection to promote art, culture & traditions of India.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi appreciated ‘Hunar Haat’ and various artisans, craftsmen and their exquisite indigenous handmade products. By mentioning about ‘Hunar Haat’, the Prime Minister has reiterated Government’s commitment to promote and encourage the magnificent legacy of our indigenous arts/crafts.

Firosha witnessed gracious presence of Union Ministers Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Smt Smriti Irani, Shri Mahendra Nath Pandey, Dr Jitendra Singh, Parliamentarians, senior officials, senior Diplomats from various countries and other dignitaries from India and abroad. These dignitaries encouraged and lauded hand paint wearable art.

More than 15 lakh visitors, visited Firosha by Firoz Rafi at ‘Hunar Haat’ and encouraged the hand painted & handloom products exhibited at Firosha’s stall. We at Firosha are committed to promote hand paint which will help sustain our artisans livelihood. This event  witnessed huge coverage of media and news channels by NDTV, ZEE news, AAJ Tak, ST News, Times Of India, ABP News, CNN India, UNI India etc.
